Our team consists of Mrs. Mary Lou Baldwin, Technology
Facilitator, and Mrs. Judy LeSage, Library Resource Director.
There is a co-sharing of resources between the two team members
& the rest of the staff & students in order to enhance
integration of research skills, LRC materials & technology
while delivering the curriculum.
|
{We are data
detectives, product evaluators & purchasers, information advisors,
research counselors, project developers, info/skills instructors,
multi-media managers, computer coaches, financial analysts, creative
connectors, collaborative colleagues, experiential educators,
student-achievement supporters, practical politicians, organizational
operators, and show-me-how sharers [i.e. we are Knowledge Brokers]}
|
We ALSO (Capture good ideas, Keep
ideas alive, Imagine new uses for old ideas, Put promising concepts
to the test - We may not know the answer, but we know how and
where to find it!....) for integration and co-teaching of curriculum
units. We incorporate ISTE tech standards, when possible. When
we teach search strategies, we are preparing students to be effective
problem-solvers.
|
We are quite mobile! You'll see Mrs. Baldwin in and out of all
rooms as she advises, co-teaches or directly instructs our population.
Working without a computer lab setting, we have laptop computers
on carts as well as some desktop computer units within each classroom.
Our students use hardware throughout the building. Many of our
classes arrange with Mrs. LeSage to have presentations or lessons
in the LRC area. Our days are never
the same!!
