| MOJO and the Bayou Gypsies came to Glen Grove on Oct 12th in celebration of the relief efforts by the Glen Grove communityand as a way to give the students a better appreciation of the people and culture affected by Hurricane Katrina. They performed foot-stomping, rip-roaring authentic cajun music straight from the bayou. In between music selections everyone was dancing in their seats, while discussing cajun music techiniques, the history and origin of cajun music, and demonstrate authentic cajun instruments.The PTA distributed Mardi Gras beads to the students to wear during the performance and to take home afterwards. |
