Old Father Time & Baby New Year- a personifications of time; it is said that Father Time closes a year by handing over his duties to Baby New Year, who begins it.

Countdown- listing numbers backwards chronologically in anticipation of an event

Resolution- a goal one makes for themselves. Oftentimes people make New Year Resolutions such as reading more, exercising more, doing kind things for others, etc.
