What is Chuseok (추석)?
Date: 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar on a full moon (usually near or on the Autumn Equinox)
Location: Korea (S. Korea celebrates for three days. N. Korea celebrates for one day)
Also known as Hangawi, it is a harvest festival celebrating family and loved ones. Many people travel to their hometowns to pay their respects to the spirits of their ancestors.
